Relocating

Relocation Guide WebCongratulations on your decision to live in the Village of Clemmons.  We are so happy to have you!  You will find that Clemmons is a welcoming and exciting place to live.  Clemmons is a desirable town to relocate with low unemployment rates, low tax rates, and above average median household incomes. It is home to the largest high school in Forsyth County, West Forsyth.

We enjoy a low tax rate which provides curbside solid waste and recycling collection; an annual bulk item pick-up; additional Forsyth County public safety officers; village street maintenance and street lights at all intersections; and a leaf and limb collection program which in turn provides mulch for village landscaping projects and, if available, for our residents.

We have our own Planning Department whose mission is to provide an outstanding quality of life for our residents through guided community development and long-range planning; and our own Stormwater Management Department whose mission is to protect our water today so it can be enjoyed tomorrow.

Our staff is made up of 20 dedicated, hardworking employees.  It’s a small staff that provides quality service.

We take great pride in providing something for everyone. Enjoy a quality meal at one of many restaurants and stumble across that hard-to-find specialty item at one of our merchants. There are plenty of choices for everyone. The Village of Clemmons has a vibrant business community with over 1000 registered businesses. Approximately 10 miles to the east is the city of Winston-Salem.  Our neighbor to the west is Tanglewood Park which provides an array of outdoor activities including golfing, horseback riding, hiking, and more.

We encourage community communication and involvement and want to provide you as much information as possible to get you acclimated.  Always feel comfortable emailing or calling your elected officials and town employees.
