There’s nothing like taking in a great play or seeing wonderful musical performance. In the greater area surrounding Clemmons, there is no shortage of arts and entertainment venues to choose from to get your cultural fix. From children’s productions to independent films and just about everything in between, our local theaters and cultural centers provide entertainment through inspiration, creativity and education. Opened in 2010, A/perture was originally a small, two-screen movie house and has since grown to four screening rooms. If you love independent, foreign, documentary, local or festival films that inspire the soul and educate the mind, A/perture Cinema is a must-see destination.

Peppercorn Theatre

The Peppercorn Theatre at Kaleideum is in the business of inspiring the children and community of Winston-Salem and surrounding areas through original theater works. With the goal of educating, entertaining, and empowering children to explore their creativity and voice, the Peppercorn Theatre utilizes innovation, collaboration, diversity, and entrepreneurship. Children are challenged to wonder, be curious, and embrace a lifetime of learning.

Creative Drama Children’s Theater’s (CDCT) is a Christian-based organization in Clemmons that opened its doors for business on September 6th, 2011.  CDCT offers a number of fun and exciting classes for children in preschool through high school.

Nutcracker Performance at Stevens Center

Stevens Center

Originally a 1929 silent movie theatre, the Stevens Center is a magnificently restored neoclassical theatre located in downtown Winston-Salem, NC. Re-opened in April 1983, the Stevens Center is the primary performance space for the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, as well as the Winston-Salem Symphony, Piedmont Opera Theatre, and several other local and state arts organizations.

Hanesbrands Theatre is a performance venue for theater, dance, film and music. Located adjacent to the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts in downtown Winston-Salem, Hanesbrands Theatre boasts state-of- the-art light, sound, and projection systems to bring the most out of any show. Willingham Theater

Willingham Theater

Located at the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center in Yadkinville, NC, the Willingham Theater is home to a variety of cultural performances throughout the year. The spring 2017 season includes showings of Steel Magnolias and Dirty Dancing, productions of Tony Award-winning plays, such as Guys and Dolls and Peter and the Starcatcher, and musical performances by Masters of Soul and MIPSO.
