Not far from Clemmons (about 27 miles south) in Salisbury, NC, Foxwood Golf Course offers terrific views and challenging play for golfers at every skill level. The 18-hole course features 6,175 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72.
Foxwood’s tree-lined fairways are wide with generous landing areas, although water hazards (ponds) come into play on two holes. There are four dogleg fairways, but no sand bunkers at all on the course. The signature hole is #11, a 470-yard, par 5, featuring a large ditch coming into play along the right side of the fairway. Talk to the helpful staff and they can offer tips and tricks for playing your best round. This course debuted back in 1969 and is open year round for play.
